Morocco Itinerary: 10-Day Tour from Casablanca

Day 1: Arrival to Casablanca

On your first day in Casablanca, your driver/guide will meet you at the airport or at your hotel at the time of your arrival. After breakfast, we begin with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Morocco and the 14th largest in the world.

After the visit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we drive around the city and visit the Corniche of Casablanca to enjoy the sea breeze and coastal views. In the evening, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen

After breakfast at your hotel in Casablanca, we start the tour by driving along the Atlantic coast to Rabat, approximately 86 km away.

Rabat is Morocco’s capital city and lies along the western Atlantic coast. During our visit, we explore:

  • Hassan Tower (the unfinished minaret of a mosque)

  • Mausoleum of Mohammed V

  • Kasbah of the Oudayas (the blue and white kasbah)

After lunch at a local restaurant, we continue our journey through Ouazzane toward Chefchaouen, located about 253 km away. In the evening, we arrive at your hotel in the Blue City of Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen - The Roman ruins of Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

After breakfast, enjoy a short guided walk through Chefchaouen to explore its blue streets and take photos.

We then continue to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its remarkably preserved mosaics, columns, and arches.

Next, we drive about 30 km to the imperial city of Meknes, where we visit Bab Mansour, Sahrij Swani, the Royal Stables, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After the visit, we drive approximately 64 km to Fes and check in at your riad or hotel.

Day 4: Guided tour sightseeing Fes

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Fes, one of Morocco’s most historic cities. The tour includes:

  • Royal Palace Gate

  • Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate)

  • Fes Medina (Fes el-Bali)

  • Bou Inania Madrasa

  • Tanneries

  • Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and University, dating back to the 9th century

In the afternoon, we leave the medina to visit the Mellah (Jewish Quarter). To end the day, we drive to an ancient fortress offering panoramic views of the medina and city. Return to your riad or hotel for the night.

Day 5: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar forests - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Sahara

After breakfast at your hotel in Fes, we head southeast toward the Sahara Desert. Along the way, we pass through Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests, home to Barbary macaques.

We continue through Midelt and the scenic Ziz Valley. In the late afternoon, around 5:00 PM, we arrive in Merzouga, where you will be welcomed with traditional Moroccan tea.

You then enjoy a camel ride across the dunes of the Erg Chebbi Desert to reach the camp. Along the way, we stop to watch the sunset from the high dunes. Upon arrival at the desert camp, enjoy a warm shower, dinner, Berber drumming, music, and dancing around the campfire under the stars. Overnight in the desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga Sahara Desert Experience

Wake up early to climb the nearby dunes and watch the sunrise over the desert. After sunrise, return to the camp for breakfast. You may then choose to return by camel or by 4×4 vehicle.

After arriving at the hotel, we set off on a desert exploration by off-road vehicle. We visit nomadic families to learn about their lifestyle and enjoy Berber tea. Then we continue to Khamlia Village, home of the Gnawa people, originally from Sub-Saharan Africa. Enjoy their traditional music and dancing.

Afterward, we have lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Mifis fossil mines and strolling through the palm groves. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Merzouga.

Day 7: Merzouga Sahara- Rissani- Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

After breakfast, we drive approximately 42 km to Rissani, a town known for its large traditional souk, held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Next, we continue to Erfoud, located about 22 km away, where we visit fossil and marble workshops. We then drive to Todra Gorges, stopping for photos and an easy walk through the canyon, with free time for lunch.

In the afternoon, we continue through the Dades Valley, stopping at the Monkey Fingers rock formation and a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the valley. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 8: Dades Valley - Rose Valley Palm groves of Skoura - Oaurzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Telouet - High Atlas Mountains Marrakech

After breakfast, we begin another full day of travel toward Marrakech. We pass through the Rose Valley (Kalaat M’Gouna), where rose-based products are made.

We continue to the palm groves of Skoura, then drive to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” where we visit Atlas Film Studios.

Next, we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture, featured in many films and TV series.

After the visit, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, stopping for lunch along the way. In the evening, we arrive in Marrakech, enjoy dinner, and overnight at your hotel.

Day 9: Guided tour sightseeing Marrakech

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most vibrant cities. Visits include:

  • Bahia Palace

  • Saadian Tombs

  • Ben Youssef Madrasa

  • Koutoubia Mosque

  • Majorelle Garden

Later, visit Jemaa el-Fna Square, the heart of Marrakech, known for its food stalls, musicians, storytellers, and lively atmosphere. You may enjoy dinner at the square or return to your hotel. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 10: Marrakech - Casablanca

On the final day of the tour, we transfer you back to Casablanca Airport, with stops for scenic views along the way. End of the tour.
