Morocco Itinerary: 10-Day Tour from Casablanca

Day 1: Arrival to Casablanca

On your first day here in Casablanca, our guide will meet you in the hotel or at the airport at any time you want. After breakfast, the first destination is  Hassan 2 Mosque, It’s a large Mosque here in Morocco and the 14th largest in the world. Then we will go to have your first Moroccan lunch in the best restaurant, After lunch, we will have time to drive around the city and visit the Cornish of Casablanca to enjoy the feel of the sea breeze. when the night falls, we will return to your hotel to have dinner and be ready for tomorrow. 

Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen

After you eat breakfast at your hotel in Casablanca, we’ll start our 10-day tour. We’ll drive along the pretty coastline to Rabat, which is about 86 kilometers away.

Rabat, like Casablanca, is by the sea on Africa’s western coast. It’s the capital of the country and has many interesting things to see and do.

In Rabat, we will visit  Hassan Tower (It’s an incomplete minaret of a mosque), the Mausoleum of Mohammed V (It’s a Monumental tomb), and The Kasbah of Oudaya (It’s bleu town).

After visiting these places we will have time to eat our lunch in the restaurant, after lunch, we will start on the next leg of our journey driving through Ouazzane towards Chefchaouen located 253 km away.

In the evening we will arrive at your hotel in the Blue City of Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen - The Roman ruins of Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

After breakfast, our guide will take you on a short tour to explore this best blue city to take some pictures before we go to the next destination which Roman ruins of Volubilis, this place is a special place recognized by UNESCO. It has ancient Roman buildings that are still in really good condition. You will see beautiful mosaics, big pillars, and arches there.

Then we will continue our journey, we will drive 30 Km to the imperial city of Meknes. We will visit Bab Mansour, Sahrij Swani, and Royal Stables, and Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, After we visit these places we will drive to Fes/Fez  (64 km away) and settle into your chosen hotel.

Day 4: Guided tour sightseeing Fes

After breakfast, you will be exploring some of the most significant landmarks. We will visit: the Royal Palace Gate, Blue Gate (also known as Bab Boujloud), and Medina of Fes, This old city has lots of amazing things to discover. also, inside of the Fes Medina will visit Medrasa Bouanania, is an Islamic school dating back to the 14th century, and then Medrasa Bouanania, it’s an Islamic school dating back to the 14th century, also we will explore Tanneries, and  Quaraouin Mosque and University, which dates back to the 9th century.

In the afternoon, we will leave the Medina to visit the Mellah. To end our day of exploration in Fes, we will drive to an ancient fortress that provides a panoramic view of the Medina and the cityscape, Finally, we return to your Riad or hotel.

Day 5: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar forests - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Sahara

Our 10-day tour from Casablanca commences after having breakfast at your Fes hotel. We leave heading southeast. Here is what you can expect along this route:

After lunch, we will continue to the Merzouga Sahara desert via Ziz Valley.

Around 5 pm, we’ll arrive at the Merzouga Sahara desert. You’ll be greeted with a cup of tea. Then, you’ll ride a camel to the camp across the tall dunes of the Erg Checbbi desert.

At sunset time, the camel man will make a stop in the high dunes to watch the sunset, after sunset, you will reach the luxury camp, take a warm shower, and enjoy the desert. In the camp, you will have, dinner, Berber drums, and dance around the fire while watching the shooting stars, I hope to see some shooting stars and make a wish.

Day 6: Merzouga Sahara Desert Experience

To see a clear sunrise, you need to get up early and go to the nearby dunes and watch the sunrise after sunrise go back to the camp to have breakfast, After breakfast you can choose to take a camel back to the hotel or 4×4 vehicle.

When you arrive at the hotel we will go off-road to explore around  Merzouga desert, we will visit nomad people and learn how they live, they welcome you with Berber tea. After that, we will go ahead to the Khamlia village, The area where the Gnawa people live. They are from Sub-Saharan Africa, You will enjoy their music and even dance with them if you want. After we will go the the Berber restaurant to have lunch before we go to the Eyeliner Mine, and Stroll the Palm Groves. 

The dinner will be at your hotel. 

Day 7: Merzouga Sahara- Rissani- Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

After breakfast, we will drive 41.9 km heading to Rissani, this small city has a large souk (market) open three times a week, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. while all towns around it come to shops, and others sell fruits, vegetables, meat, dates, nuts, spices, sheep, goats, etc.

Next, we’ll drive to Erfoud (22km away).  A notable attraction there is the workshops where they focus on making marble fossils, we will visit this, and then we’ll drive to Todra Gorges, where we will stop for pictures and take an easy walk along the gorge or unwind in the refreshing shallow waters and have free time for lunch. After lunch, we will drive through  Dades Vally, We will make a stop at the Monkey Fingers. and stop at a stunning viewpoint atop a mountain that offers a panoramic view of the Dades Valley.

We will conclude the day with a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at a hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 8: Dades Valley - Rose Valley Palm groves of Skoura - Oaurzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Telouet - High Atlas Mountains Marrakech

After breakfast get ready for another full day of experience, on the way to Marrakech via the Atlas mountains we will visit  Rose Vally called Kallat M’Gouna Here you will find a variety of rose-infused products that make for unique souvenirs. We then continue on the way we will make a stop in the Palm Groves of Sakoura, This lush oasis showcases thousands of date palm trees, creating a picturesque sight along the route. After we drive to Ouarzazate (known as the gateway to the desert), we will make a stop to visit Atlas Studios, often referred to as the Hollywood of Africa. It has been featured in numerous Hollywood movies and popular TV shows from various countries around the world.

As we continue our journey through Marrakech, we will stop at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This fortified village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a remarkable example of Moroccan architecture dating back to the 11th century, and it has served as the backdrop for various films and TV shows, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

After visiting Morocco’s famous Kasbah we will drive through Marrakech via the Tizi-N-Ticha pass and the High Atlas Mountains, we will make a stop for lunch in the high Atlas Mountains.

After a long way, we will be in Marrakech, have dinner at your hotel, and be ready for tomorrow.

Day 9: Guided tour sightseeing Marrakech

During this part of the 10-day tour from Casablanca, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Marrakech, the second-largest city in Morocco. Marrakech is full of interesting things to see, smell, and hear.

After breakfast, our plans include visiting: Bahia Palace,  Saadian Toms, this place is are the final resting place of members of the Saadian dynasty, and Ben Youssef Quranic School. and then, you will have free time for lunch at the restaurant. Then we will visit Koutubia Mosque, a large mosque in Marrakech, and then we will visit Majorelle Garden, this garden includes more than 300 types of plants from five different continents and tranquil ponds.

Of course, we will visit Jemaa El-Fna Square, it’s the best place in Marrakech, This lively square is full of excitement, with lots of food stalls, snake charmers, musicians, and busy markets.

You can enjoy traditional Moroccan food and then wander through the maze-like markets, experiencing the lively atmosphere of this famous square. After you get enough time, we will go back to your hotel, to have lunch there, or you can choose to have dinner in Jemaa El-Fna Square.

Day 10: Marrakech - Casablanca
